Palace of Culture and Science - PKiN

Warsaw at your feet!
The arrow like building that is the Palace of Culture and Sciences ( the PkiN), dominates Warsaw at a height of over 230 metres. An emblematic landmark, the Palace of Culture and Sciences, or the "giant pencil" is a multicultural high temple dedicated to theatre, cinema, conferences, and technologies.
In fact, it was Stalin who commissioned its construction in the 50's, based on the principles of social realist architecture. The panoramic terrace affords breathtaking views over the city with the wide avenues, futuristic sky scrapers, green spaces, the Swietokrzyski bridge and the Vistula river all at your feet.
