Czapski Palace - Chopin Parlor

Feel at home with Chopin.
Czapski Palace, the headquarters of the Academy of Fine Arts is home to the Chopin Salon, the composer's residence for several years before he left Poland. The Salon was restored with the aid of a drawing by Antoni Kolberg (an artist friend of Chopin's) in 1960. It is now a dependency of the Chopin Museum.
Chopin used to preview concertos for his friends in this very apartment. A visit to these rooms in the Czapski Palace conveys a real feel for the period through the furnishings and the musical instruments.
